Rasterex Software (Oslo, Norway) has announced the release of version R8.0 of their multiformat viewer with support for AutoCAD 2007. RxView allows users to view and print more than 250 different file formats (2D and 3D CAD, plot-files, PDF files, Office documents, raster images, etc.), without having the design software installed on the machine. RxHighlight adds advanced functions like markup, file conversion, and text search and extraction, for collaboration between team members.

"Version 8.0 can read AutoCAD 2007 files, and represents a major enhancement to our extended features for markup, hyperlinks, advanced printing, measurement, and conversion facilities," says Per Christian Lindstad, CEO at Rasterex Software.

In addition to AutoCAD 2007 support, the new version includes a customizable GUI offering a new R8 look, R7.3 look, or Windows XP; higher 3D speed when markup is disabled; a dialogue for keeping track of component versions; new markup features like customizable and predefined stamps, and more frame styles. Markup files can also be imported from other drawings; hyperlink and notes are shown; and dimension line text can be placed above, on, or below horizontal or vertical dimension lines.

R8 also includes new hyperlink, printing, measurement, and conversion features. For more information and to download and try the software for free, visit rasterex.com.
