Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD; Sunnyvale, CA) has recently unleashed the second generation in the FireMV product line - the new FireMV 2250.  The new dual-output graphics card for enterprise is the continuation of the MV line, launched in 2005.

The FireMV 2250 will be sold in two versions a PCIe x16 and PCIe x1, each with 256MB of memory. The x1 version is said to be the most flexible and versatile of the line, and will work in any PCIe slot in any PCIe system.

Both versions will be fully Microsoft Windows Vista Aero certified and will be packaged in a half-height, low-profile form factor. Both versions will also have a variable timing control fan for optimal cooling and extended life.
