Andretti Global, a racing team under the TWG Motorsports umbrella, report that longtime partner Siemens and Amazon Web Services (AWS), will serve as co-primary partners for the No. 27 Siemens AWS Honda piloted by Kyle Kirkwood at the Detroit Grand Prix.

The Siemens and AWS partnership is designed to break down traditional IT barriers, enabling data access from edge to cloud, Siemens reports.

At the heart of this transformation is the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of software, fully integrated into Andretti Global’s racing operations. Siemens’ collaboration with AWS allows for the delivery of scalable software-as-a-service solutions that support businesses of all sizes, from startups to global enterprises. For Andretti Global, it means unlocking new levels of performance through advanced analytics, real-time simulation and predictive decision-making, Siemens reports.

With Siemens Xcelerator running on AWS infrastructure, Andretti Global engineers can now process volumes of race data in real time, enabling split-second decisions based on predictive analytics, optimizing all from aerodynamics to race strategy.

Wind tunnel simulations, telemetry analysis and vehicle performance modeling are now integrated into a single, agile digital ecosystem.

Siemens has served as the team's official software technology partner since 1997.

“This partnership is more than a technology upgrade—it’s a strategic transformation. Siemens and AWS are providing Andretti Global with the solutions to lead the next era of racing innovation. From the garage to the grid, we provide digital solutions to make faster, smarter decisions that directly impact the future of motorsport technology," says Tony Hemmelgarn, president and CEO, Siemens Digital Industries Software.

"Siemens’ continued involvement with the team reflects the strength of our longstanding partnership and shared commitment to performance, and we’re happy to have them serve as the primary on the No. 27 this weekend," Jill Gregory, president, Andretti Global. "We're also pleased to welcome AWS to our family of partners at the Detroit Grand Prix as the co-primary, along with Siemens, on Kyle’s car in the lead up to Realize LIVE Americas 2025 in Detroit following the race weekend. The collaboration between Andretti Global and these two partners plays a vital role in how we prepare, adapt and compete week in and week out.”

“I’m looking forward to not only having Siemens back on board for another race weekend, but also welcoming AWS to the team," says Kyle Kirkwood, driver of the No. 27 Siemens AWS Honda, Andretti Global. "We’ve had a good start to the season, and the team has been strong on the newly reconfigured downtown track layout in Detroit the last few years so I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do with the No. 27 Siemens AWS Honda this weekend.”
