SME Announces New Manager of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing

SME announced the addition of Kevin Ayers to its team as industry manager of additive manufacturing and 3D printing.

Ayers joins SME after 30 years with the FBI’s manufacturing lab, a company press release stated. He has established himself as a member and volunteer with SME’s Rapid Technologies & Additive Manufacturing Community and SME’s RAPID event. In his new role, he will develop and manage all activities within additive manufacturing.

“Around the world, additive manufacturing is changing the way companies design and manufacture products,” said Debbie Holton, SME managing director of industry strategy and events. “With the addition of Kevin to SME, we’ll be able to even better serve the additive manufacturing and 3D printing industry, as he brings a wealth of knowledge and will be able to identify even more opportunities where SME can lend its expertise and resources.”
