Socionext, a System LSI solution company, has selected Optimal+ to provide solutions for its global manufacturing operations. The Semiconductor Operations Platform, the company states, will be used to enhance operations by utilizing measurement improvements in yield quality via error detection and correction.

Optimal+ also plans to help Socionext reduce testing costs by implementing a quality index measurement based on prior operations. By doing so, Socionext will be able to integrate, access and correlate global manufacturing data across various product lines.

“As a fabless company, Socionext needs to be able to quickly analyze the big data generated from our foundries and OSATs worldwide to contribute to the improvement of early correction and yield recovery to reduce our supply chain costs,” said Tetsu Ozawa, director of Test Engineering Department of Socionext. “The real-time, big data analytics from Optimal+, will enable Socionext to take advantage of next-generation capabilities such as adaptive test time reduction to create competitive advantages for manufacturing operations under our new fabless model and provide steady, high-reliability products that create greater market value for our company.”
