Schneider Electric (Palatine, IL) recently introduced the Telemecanique brand ConneXview industrial Ethernet diagnostic, designed to map, monitor, and troubleshoot industrial Ethernet networks.

The software system offers automatic device discovery, as well as Ethernet device (SNMP) and control-network device (Modbus/TCP) mapping. In addition, it has a color-enhanced graphical interface with task panels for device status, settings and alarms, and topological visual graphics.

The diagnostics can recognize Ethernet segments and device issues via color codes and automatically prioritize and notify the administrators using e-mail messaging. There is also an ability to add third-party devices to the library using unique device names for increased recognition.
