SPEC/GPC’s Application Performance Characterization (SPECapc;Warrenton, VA) project group has released new performance evaluationsoftware for systems running Solid Edge V19 from UGS Corp. (Plano, TX).

SPECapc for Solid Edge V19 was developed in cooperation with UGS torepresent typical user operations that are important in evaluatingsystem performance. A major new feature of the benchmark is a test ofSolid Edge’s multi-threaded functionality, which provides results thatscale with the number of CPUs or processor cores installed in thecomputer.

SPECapc is a project group of the Graphics Performance Characterization(GPC) Group. Both are Standard Performance Evaluation Corp. (SPEC), anon-profit corporation formed to establish, maintain, and endorse astandardized set of benchmarks for computers. For more information,click here.
