ESI Group (Paris, France) has announced PAM-TUBE 2G, a new specializedengineering product suite in its stamping simulation solution line fortube bending and hydroforming processes. PAM-TUBE 2G is reported toprovide accurate tube-bending simulation with realistic tool modelingand behaviors.

PAM-TUBE 2G uses an intuitive interface that guides users through thedifferent steps of the process. It combines specialized tool design fortube and hydro forming processes, and allows for concentration on faststrain and ovalization predictions. Liquid Bulge Forming and HighPressure Techniques can also be modeled separately or combined withinPAM-TUBE 2G, giving you coverage of the range of tube-forming processes.

Major features include automatic addendum design, weld lineconsideration, inverse and accurate bending simulation, and multistagebending and hydroforming. Additional functionalities includedistributed parallel processing for bending, an annealing option, andmultistage macro templates. PAM-TUBE 2G also offers couplingcapabilities for more accurate product performance assessment.
