SST has announced CAEPIPE v7.0, an update to its piping design and stress analysis software.

New features include 10 Thermal and four Wind Loads; 2012 ASME B31 Codes; more than 95 Load cases; expansion stresses for more than 50 thermal ranges; Support Load Summary for 150-plus load combinations; Pump/Compressor/Turbine reports for 10 Operating cases; and Operating Stresses for nondestructive examination (NDE) purposes.

"With its unrivaled simplicity, ease of use and speed, CAEPIPE provides serious productivity by cutting down the analysis complexity through its rich feature set, all in a 2MB executable." said Vijay D, product manager.

CAEPIPE is used in traditional power and process applications such as power-gen and petrochemical, as well as on advanced fighter aircraft such as F-16s, F-18s, the Joint Strike fighter, the Space Shuttle and submarines.
