Stealth.com Inc. has released a new server that it says delivers the benefits of two servers in a single 1U (1.75-in. height) rack space. The Stealth model: SR-1600 is designed to address demanding high-performance computer workloads for applications that require significant processing power and system performance.

Designed with a total of four Intel Xeon 5500/5600 processors (two per node) the SR-1600 employs fully scalable DDR3 ECC memory with options up to 288GB (144GB per node). The cable free, modular system design allows for component swap out in minutes, according to the company.

“Stealth’s new slim servers are packed with features that would normally be found in much larger footprints providing significant cost savings in rack cabinet real estate. Two systems in a single 1U chassis decreases the total per system costs and provides for a superior return on your technology investment,” says Ed Boutilier, CEO of Stealth.com Inc.

The SR-1600 supports four front accessible hot swappable 2.5-in. hard drives (two per node) with up to 2TBs of storage space for archived data. For applications that require extra system performance solid state drive options are available. The Stealth rack server is powered with an 1100 Watt (80 plus) power supply. Systems are compatible with Microsoft Server 2008/2003, Red Hat, VMware and can be custom configured.
