iPad access in Adept doesn't require a download from the Apple App Store. According to the company, the touch-enabled Web controls used to provide iPad access are designed to enhance user experience in a tablet- friendly way. Adept auto-detects iPad users and presents the touch-enabled interface.
Using the iPad's built in viewing capabilities, Adept for the iPad views Word, Excel, photos and other images. Design and engineering documents from CAD applications such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and SolidWorks must be pre-rendered as PDFs for viewing on the Adept for iPad. PDFs can be rendered manually or automated using Adept PublishWave, which provides batch publishing and printing for Adept.
