New PCI-E and AGP versions of the X1950PRO 3D card from Diamond Multimedia (Chatsworth, CA) have recently become available.

The Viper X1950PRO features the ATI Radeon chip and uses the Radeon X1950 GPU with either 256MB or 512MB GDDR3 interfaces. It has a core clock speed of 575MHz and a 1.38GHz memory speed. It supports Dual DVI (x2 Dual-link), HDTV, D-sub, and VIVO.

The X1950PRO has native CrossFire technology and the new plug-and-play CrossFire configuration. It supports high dynamic range with post-processing capabilities, including anti-aliasing. The X1950PRO also features built-in native HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection). It is Microsoft Windows Vista ready and is supported by Catalyst Control Center, which configures optimal settings for the user's system.

Price: $229 and $179 (PCIE); $249 and $299 (AGP).
