VX Corporation (Melbourne,  FL),  formerly known as Varimetrix, demonstrated their QuickMillT technology to machine 3D scan data at RAPID 2008 in Orlando in May. The demonstration showcased the product’s ability to integrate point cloud data into real world designs.

VX Corporation’s VX is a full featured, fully integrated CAD/CAM system with complete solid and surface modeling, shape morphing, reverse engineering, assembly and milling tools, that can take scan data and integrate it into product and tool designs. Users can skip the surfacing process by directly machining STL data with VX. VX’s integrated solution can take the user from the scanner to a product, mold, 3D printer, or machining center.
