The new Style Configuration in version 2015, the company states, provides an interface that enables users to customize drafting standards without needing to define XML files and code structure. This means engineers can create custom standards for layers, tile block, symbols and more. The Mechanical Symbols feature allows users to design with surface texture symbols, datum identifies and targets, taper, center hold, weld symbols and more.
The company has also added over 229 ISO and DIN standard parts. This can help streamline the process of integrating standard parts into the design workflow. The platform currently supports ISO, ANSI, DIN, JIS and GB drafting environments. Its Standards Synchronous tool ensures teams on the same LAN are using uniform and up-to-date standards.
Users will also notice a new interface that has a neat, flat and intuitive design. This helps reduce design fatigue and visual interruption, the company states.
