3D Systems Corporation (Rock Hill, SC) will launch the ProJet HD3000 3D Production System, a new, professional, high-definition 3D Printer, at SolidWorks World 2008 from January 20-23, 2008, in San Diego, CA.

This new 3D Production System is a next generation 3D Printer based on 3D Systems’ patented and proprietary Multi-Jet Modeling (MJM) technology. This high throughput 3D Printer provides best-in-class part quality and accuracy. It also provides the choice of both high-definition and ultra high-definition build modes in a single system.

The easy-to-use ProJet 3D Production System, available to customers worldwide beginning in March 2008, is suitable for concept development, design validation, form and fit analysis, production of molding and casting patterns, direct investment casting of jewelry, and other fine-feature applications. 3D Systems’ extensive VisiJet Materials’ portfolio, including direct-investment castable materials, is designed for use with the new ProJet 3D Production System.

With its large build volume and part stacking and nesting capabilities, this system enables extended unattended operation making it suitable for overnight and weekend production runs. The performance is enhanced through the incorporation of 3D Systems’ ProJet Accelerator software for build management, part editing, and automatic support generating tools.

3D Systems will showcase the system at Pacific Design & Manufacturing Show January 29-31, 2008, in Anaheim, CA.
