KISTERS announced release 1.11 of its 3DViewStation WebViewer product. The WebViewer is a cloud and mobile solution that can be integrated with users' cloud services to enable the viewing, inspection, and sharing of 3D manufacturing and construction data on the fly.

The new release is WebGL-based and requires just a browser supporting WebGL. Microsoft has announced support for WebGL with Internet Explorer 11.  3DViewStation WebViewer ships with a 3D-CAD data translation module which reads about 20 file formats, including the latest Catia, NX, Creo, ProE, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Inventor, JT, STEP, 3D-PDF and others, and outputs the 3DVSWeb-format, a preview image plus a 3D-PDF representation for offline usage. The client allows navigation, analysis, dimensioning and explosion of 3D-models.
