Airwolf 3D has unveiled Wolfbite, a new solution for bonding ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic parts to a heated 3D printer build plate without lifting. This solution, the company states, enables a smooth release of objects after printing.

The Wolfbite solution is applied directly to the glass, eliminating the need for PET (polyethlene terephthalate) film or Kapton tape. One coat can be used for several prints. This solution is formulated for ensuring adhesion and simplifying part removal from the build plate.

“As manufacturers of 3D printers that are capable of printing large parts in ABS we are aware of the frustrations that [lifting] and sticking present,” said Erick Wolf, founder and chairman, Airwolf 3D. “After months of research and development, we’re pleased to be able to offer an industry-changing solution that will benefit all 3D printer users.”
