The new LulzBot TAZ Pro fused filament fabrication 3D printer is designed to provide multi-material printing, soluble supports, enhanced 3D print quality, and easy, professional results, according to Aleph Objects.
Independent vertical lifting hot ends and 360 degree part cooling allow printing with different material types, not just different colors. The two active-lifting hot ends enable true multi-material 3D printing and creation of complex parts, according to the company. It also has dual filament runout sensors.
Other features of the LulzBot TAZ Pro include automated X/Y/Z offset calibration, nozzle wiping, and self-leveling features. The heated build plate provides a 280x280x285 mm build volume. The LulzBot TAZ Pro also has hardened steel components to enable printing of soft, flexible materials up to industrial-grade composites, according to the company.
The new 3D printer also has a 5-in. full-color touch screen display.
The LulzBot TAZ Pro is available for pre-order now and shipments are expected to start around the end of April. An optional polycarbonate clamshell enclosure with capabilities for HEPA filtration will be available to order in June, according to the company.
