AVEVA, Microsoft Partner on Tablet Application

AVEVA announced that it has formed an alliance with Microsoft to further the development of its "Future of Plant Design" initiative, providing new funding and technical resources to accelerate the delivery of a tablet application supporting the new solutions announced earlier this year by AVEVA. Built on Windows Azure technology, the mobile tablet application will operate on Windows 8 devices and provide interactive access to AVEVA 3D design models used by the process plant, power and marine industries.

As part of this activity, we will be working with our customers to identify mobile capabilities to add maximum value to their business."

In addition to the mobile element, the partnership will provide assist in the development of a path to cloud offerings via the Windows Azure platform.
