Bitglass, a data protection company, has released a solution that enables enterprises to adopt cloud applications for their needs and simultaneously store data on a private cloud.

The data is encrypted with AES 256-bit encryption, and the platform can be deployed in minutes, the  company sates. There is no required software installation or employee device configuration.

The solution manages connections between users and apps like Salesforce and Box. The data is stored in the private cloud, rather than in plan text and the data is dynamically decrypted and folded into the application during use.

“Our customers are eager to adopt public-cloud applications, but struggle with maintaining data security,” said Nat Kausik, CEO and co-founder of Bitglass. “Bitglass gives them the ability to adopt public-cloud applications while maintaining visibility, control and strong encryption of sensitive corporate data in a private cloud. This is a huge win for enterprises and for enterprise cloud app vendors.”
