BOXX Technologies announced the debut of the new GoBOXX 1920 mobile workstation. The workstation was on display at last week's Autodesk University.

Enabling users to create outside of studio and office confines, the new portable, lightweight GoBOXX 1920 features a fourth-generation (Haswell) Intel Core i7 mobile processor (up to 3.9 GHz in turbo mode), as well as NVIDIA Quadro K2100M workstation graphics and up to 32 GB of 1600 DDR3 MHz memory for 64-bit applications. GoBOXX offers professional grade performance for CAD, animation, motion media, and rendering applications, the company says.

Other BOXX system demos at the Autodesk event included a trio of high performance, liquid-cooled, overclocked Intel Core i7-based workstations. The 3DBOXX 4920 XTREME GPU edition (4.5 GHz), features four NVIDIA GPUs and was joined by the compact 3DBOXX 4150 XTREME and the new 3DBOXX 4170 XTREME featuring Thunderbolt 2 technology.
