In version 16.1 of CADSoftTools ABViewer, the company has expanded G-code generation capabilities, upgraded editing tools, and improved import and conversion features.

What's new in ABViewer 16.1:

  • 2D improvements:
    • Improved import of DWG, DXF, and SVG formats.
    • Improved export to DWG and DXF formats.
  • 3D improvements:
    • Improved import of the SLDPRT and SLDASM formats.
    • Optimized the minimum dimension calculation algorithm.
  • Improved PDF to DWG/DXF conversion.
  • Improved G-code generation:
    • Added support for generating G-code compatible with electrical discharge machines (EDM).
    • Added support for G80–G84 drilling commands (select a circle, right-click and choose Create hole).
    • Added a setting to define the contour starting point at any location (G-code settings -> Advanced -> Contour start point snap -> Nearest points).
    • Improved the user interface.
  • Improved Editor mode:
    • Added new modes to create circles and arcs: 2-Point Circle3-Point Circle3-Point ArcStart-Center-End ArcCenter-Start-End Arc.
    • Improved the Offset tool. It is now possible to apply it to open contours.
  • Accelerated XML API performance
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.
