CAEfatigue Joins Altair Partner Alliance

The organization's vibration analysis software is now available to HyperWorks users.

The Altair Partner Alliance has released CAEfatigue VIBRATION for HyperWorks users. The platform is a frequency-based fatigue solver and random response post processor. The platform works with mixed and deterministic loading sources to predict fatigue and damage.

The CAEfatigue random response tool is equipped for a wide variety of applications, including calculation of response statistics such as stress peaks, strain peaks as well as stress and strain root mean square.

The fatigue tool capability provides calculations for components subjected to single or multiple random vibration load inputs. Deterministic loads can bean mixed with random and static offsets to create complex load inputs. This makes the software ideal for automotive and aerospace industries.

“Frequency-based methods for response and fatigue life estimation offer the promise of very efficient, elegant and sophisticated design procedures,” said Neil Bishop, director at CAEfatigue. “Lightweighting through optimization and resource pooling both become possible. We are extremely happy to be joining the Altair Partner Alliance, and together we will enable this exciting new technology to reach more customers across all territories of the world.”
