CD-adapco Announces Keynote for STAR Global Conference

Paul DePodesta, of Moneyball fame, will speak on new approaches to stagnant systems.

CD-adapco, a provider of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) focused CAE software, has selected its keynote speaker for its STAR Global Conference. This year’s keynote speech is by Paul DePodesta, vice president of player development and scouting for the NY Mets.

DePodesta will speak on “New approaches to stagnant systems,” and explain how he uses analytical techniques to solve challenges in baseball scouting for under-funded clubs, the company states. He is the author for his NY Times bestseller “Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game,” which was published in 2003.

The STAR Global Conference is a gathering of simulation experts. Attendees will have the chance to meet CD-adapco management, software developers and support engineers. They will also learn how to effectively leverage CAE within organizations.

The conference will be held from March 16-18 in San Diego.
