These new applications offer usability and introduces automated workflows to make aero-acoustic analysis methods more accessible.
“Solving problems that involve flow-induced noise and vibration is of increasing importance to our customers. It is an application that crosses multiple disciplines and requires accurate simulation of both unsteady flow and the transmission of noise and vibration through large complex systems across a broad frequency range,” said Phil Shorter, vice president, CD-adapco. “We developed wave6 product line from the ground up with a group of experts who truly understand the problems engineers face trying to work with older legacy codes.”
In addition to releasing this new product line, the company is celebrating its 35th anniversary and also hosting its annual STAR Global Conference. This year's meeting hosts over 75 simulation experts from around the world. Its keynote speaker is Paul DePodesta, vice president of player development and scouting for the NY Mets. Attendees are also getting more information on STAR-CCM+ v10.02, the latest release of the company's flagship simulation software.
