CEL Acquires Assets From Eagle Mountain Technology

This expands the company's services for Internet of Things devices.

California Eastern Laboratories (CEL), has acquired assets from Eagle Mountain Technology. The Colorado-based company offers services for the development of embedded devices and protocols for the Internet of Things.

The acquisition, the company states, expands CEL’s impact in Silicon Valley and enhances services for low power wireless technology and intellectual property.

“Eagle Mountain Technology has been critical to the development of our MeshWorks Platform, and adds a tight knit group of experienced engineers to our already strong engineering team,” said Tom Benson, vice president and general manager, Embedded Systems, for CEL. “Matt Smith, founder and president of Eagle Mountain Technology, was a key technical contributor at both Tendril and Ember.  He and the other engineers on his team have designed and shipped many embedded products over the years.”
