Blue Ridge Numerics (Charlottesville, VA) announced CFdesign for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0, providing a parametric CAD-driven flow and thermal analysis environment suited for mechanical, thermal, and mechatronics design engineers. Providing added flexibility for PTC customers, this new edition of CFdesign also supports CoCreate OneSpace 3D.

CFdesign’s adoption within the Pro/ENGINEER community lies in its ability to facilitate reliable, comprehensive design tradeoff studies upfront in the decision-making process when options are greatest and cost of change is lowest — before detailed CAD models are created and long before physical testing is employed. Customers routinely report major cost reductions in product development joined with significant increases in product quality and customer satisfaction.
