Colfax International has announced a new lineup of SuperWorkstations designed for engineers, architects, 3D and visual effects artists and graphic designers. These new systems cover a wide range of workloads ranging from high-end engineering and 3D modeling with real-time visualization to video, photo, and multimedia compositing and editing.

The workstations support the latest Intel Xeon 5600 series CPUs in single and dual processor configurations for high-end applications as well as Intel Xeon 3600 and 2nd Gen Intel Core series processors for mainstream and entry-level systems. Top end systems can accommodate up to 288GB of memory and are optimized for four NVIDIA GPUs. Combining one NVIDIA Quadro and three Tesla GPUs in the same system enables simultaneous editing and on-the-fly rendering in Autodesk 3ds Max.

Advanced power supplies provide maximum energy efficiency and high-availability with redundant module options. SuperWorkstations also offer expansion flexibility with up to seven PCI-E slots and a maximum of 14 hot-swap drive bays.
