Colortrac Expanding Large-Format Scanner Line

Colortrac demonstrated some new products at the IRgA 2010 Convention & Trade Show.

The A1/D-size flatbed color scanner uses CCD optical imaging technology to capture images at high speed. According to the company, a scan of a 24- x 33-in. document is saved in less than 20 seconds at 400dpi optical resolution via a high speed Gigabit Ethernet interface.

The company is also debuting its Universal Repro Stand (URS), which creates an operator-friendly, multi-function system. The URS can unify a large format scanner and printer in a single solution. It allows the height at which the scanner sits above the printer to be adjusted. The operator can also adjust the height and position of the keyboard and mouse, and the position and angle of the monitor on the URS.

Also on display will be the SmartLF Gx+ 56 large-format color graphics scanner. At the other, shorter end of the scale, Colortrac Inc. will be demonstrating two A1 / D-size large format scanners, the 28 in. wide, CCD-based SmartLF Gx+ 28 and its latest scanner, the new 24 in. wide, CIS-based SmartLF Ci 24, which uses the same design as the SmartLF Ci 40.
