CRP Technology (Modena, Italy), provider of design and construction services to race car builders and motor racing teams, opened an office in Southern California, near Los Angeles, in January 2008.

Stewart Davis, CRP USA director of operations, will introduce CRP Technology’s motor sports capabilities to North America, South America, and Australia while offering sales and customer support for the company’s engineering, design, and manufacturing services.

Davis has been involved in RP and manufacturing since the 1990s, beginning with the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s RapidPrototyping Center. Davis also worked with 3D Systems as a senior applications engineer, specializing in motor sports and aerospace and as director for high temperature structures. Davis’s motor sports experience spans across the industry and includes projects with NASCAR, Formula One, World Super Bike, AMA Super Bike, and Super Moto teams. He has worked closely with aerospace companies in the development of flight-certified rapid manufactured components and has coauthored two papers on the subject.

For more than 30 years, CRP Technology has been an active partner in the racing industry. CRP Technology offers CNC machining, rapid prototyping (RP), rapid manufacturing (RM), casting technology, design optimization, and materials development services to the motorsport market.
