DCS to Speak on Simulation-based 3D Tolerance Analysis at Upcoming Conferences

Richard Rots to present at COE 2011 and Donald Jasurda will speak at the AeroDef Manufacturing Conference.

Dimensional Control Systems, Inc. (DCS), a provider of dimensional engineering software and consulting services, has announced that New Business Development & Project Manager Richard Rots will address engineers and manufacturers at the COE 2011 Annual PLM Conference and TechniFair. The event will be held at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida from April 3 through 5. The company also announced that Vice President Donald Jasurda will address aerospace and defense engineers and manufacturers at the AeroDef Manufacturing Conference. The event will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California from April 5
through 7.

Rots’ session will be held 4:30 p.m. on April 4. He will present “How to Use Simulation-based 3D Tolerance Analysis to Shorten Development Cycles, Improve Quality and Maximize Process Capabilities, Engineering Analysis & Simulation.” Specifically, he will share how the correlation of theoretical tolerance analysis results produced during engineering simulation to actual as-built results can help validate or adjust as-designed simulation parameters to more closely align with production process capabilities.

The COE 2011 Annual PLM Conference and TechniFair is expected to bring together nearly 1,000 attendees including users of Daussault Systemes PLM solutions, along with computer programmers, product engineers, PLM managers, designers and CAD support specialists to share innovations and technology advancements.

Jasurda's presentation at AeroDef is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on April 7. He will focus on “Manufacturing Quality Management – Leveraging Your Measurement Data for Engineering Process Improvement.” He will describe how aerospace and defense engineers can maximize their use of measurement data beyond part acceptance and problem identification in order to achieve ongoing process improvements. By aggregating the existing data, they can make the most use of this valuable information to fully support continuous improvement.
