Deltek, Inc. (Herndon, VA) announced the release of Vision 5.1, the updated version of its software solution for project-focused professional services firms. Using the latest business intelligence capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server, Vision 5.1 takes reporting to a new level by consolidating project and general ledger data into flexible views that can be quickly tailored. With Vision 5.1, professional services organizations gain insight into financial health and drive operational efficiency.

Vision 5.1 provides other enhancements that help project-based businesses streamline operations, improve performance, and win new business, including access to Vision CRM data, including contacts, opportunities and activities, from hand-held devices adding convenience and reducing the chance of missing important client and prospect follow up activities; full support for Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and Office 2007; additional flexibility in the General Ledger for enhanced financial and compliance reporting to meet diverse market and customer requirements; a new Milestone Billing option, which allows users to add a billing schedule to the billing terms when a project is set up, independent of accounting periods; and integration with CyberRecruiter, allowing applicant data to automatically drive employee records in Vision.
