DocuLex (Winter Haven, FL) announced enhancements to Professional Capture, including enabling DocuLex PC-distributed, server-based Goby Capture integration for automated paper and native format electronic file capture ability (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook e-mail, etc.) fostering knowledge management and workflow collaboration.

A component of DocuLex Archive Studio, Professional Capture lets you convert large volumes of paper to searchable electronic files in corporate and service bureau environments. It fulfills the demands of multiple, complex imaging projects, providing a variety of image processing and indexing capabilities that streamline and reduce the cost of document conversion projects, minimizing the labor component associated with document imaging, indexing, exporting, and printing.

Speed is enhanced, benefiting service bureaus and organizations of sizable document volumes, creating comprehensive, cost-effective production document imaging.

Professional Capture features zonal optical character recognition (OCR) capability, which lets you target specific areas on a page for OCR processing, allowing simplified recognition and extraction of targeted content. Using barcode technology for customized document separator sheets, the program enables document scanning, content indexing, image quality control, full text, and zonal OCR in 16 languages.
