Driving Productivity with the Power of 3D Printing

If you have read or watched countless on-demand webinars and videos on 3D printing like some “National Geographic” couch potato—vicariously exploring far off places—yet still find yourself mulling over where 3D printing can take you, today’s Check it Out link holds your ticket to finally see it yourself in the real world.

3D Systems and its partners worldwide have teamed up for a series of live seminars that they call “Driving Productivity with the Power of 3D Printing.” And I do mean worldwide. These seminars will be held from now through December 23 in venues throughout the U.S., across Europe as well as in China, Korea and the Middle East.

The title nails the main point of these seminars: They’re designed to show you how 3D printing solutions can help you drive and improve productivity at every step in the product development cycle from early concept design right on through final manufacturing. Whenever possible, the seminars will show how clever people put 3D printing to work in industries as diverse as automotive, aerospace, consumer products, industrial products, jewelry, medical devices and education.

At the seminars, you’ll also see demonstrations of additive manufacturing machines from 3D Systems in action. You’ll learn how engineers and designers in the real world are using these systems in all kinds of applications ranging from concept modeling to design validation and from pre-production rapid tooling fabrication to direct manufacturing of complex metal parts.

The additive manufacturing machines from 3D Systems to be highlighted include the new ProJet MJP 2500 Series of MultiJet (MJP) 3D printers for concept modeling. For design validation and functional testing, you’ll be introduced to the multi-material composite ProJet MJP 5500X 3D printer as well as some of its new elastomeric materials. Also to be presented will be the ProJet MJP 3600 Series for making pre-production parts for rapid tooling and the ProX DMP 320 for the direct manufacture of complex metal parts.

On average, most of the “Driving Productivity with the Power of 3D Printing” seminars seem to be scheduled to run a couple hours or so, so that should give you lots of time to ask questions. Hit today’s Check it Out link to find a seminar near you.
