PTC (Needham, MA) announced the win of a contract with the European Aeronautic and Defence Space Co. (EADS), an aerospace conglomerate that includes Airbus, Eurocopter, and EADS Astrium. EADS selected PTC after a year-long evaluation in order to implement PLM communications and collaboration throughout its organization.

This strategy is being rolled out under EADS' PHENIX (PLM Harmonized Enhanced Innovation Excellence) initiative to increase overall product quality. EADS is standardizing its PLM selection across all its business units to manage data and collaborate both externally and internally.

In other news, PTC announced that the yacht-builder, Construction Navale Bordeaux (CNB), selected PTC Product Development System (PDS) for its extensive ship design capability. And PTC also announced the winners of its student DesignQuest contest.
