EarthLCD (San Juan Capistrano, CA) added the miniature ezLCD 3.5-in. to its family of programmable color TFT LCD Modules. Featuring the EarthLCD’s 10X Series, the new ezLCD-103-EDK’s built-in intelligence speeds development time for product designs requiring small form-factor displays with graphical user interfaces (GUI). Suitable applications include weight displacement meters, analyzers, fitness equipment, and virtually any product that has space limitations.

The ezLCD-103-EDK incorporates an LCD, controller, LCD driver circuitry, processor, and graphic controller — all necessary components for fast GUI integration. An easy-to-use PC-based software utility lets the user upload bitmaps, customized fonts, icons, and graphics. Existing embedded products can add a GUI or status display LCD and with little change to the system. With the bulk of the electronics in the virtually turnkey module, OEMs can focus on the specific product requirements without redesigning graphical hardware and software.

The new ezLCD- incorporates a bright 3.5-in. 320x240 TFT LCD, enabling designers to fully optimize product aesthetics. The device features integrated touch screen, with a 50K hour lamp life rating, USB 2.0, RS-232, + 5 Volt supply voltage (with 3.3 volt optional), and RoHS compliance.
