CadFaster announced the availability of MyCadbox, a Dropbox-style CAD file sharing service for users in the manufacturing field. The cloud-based collaboration tool is designed to simplify sharing, viewing and co-viewing, markup, and tracking of 3D models on mobile devices and desktops.

The solution includes easy STEP model sharing and team collaboration (other file formats coming soon); automated model sync between PC and iPad; markup, measurement, section view and other standard viewing features; a dashboard for recent models; and a free iPad app for mobile viewing of STEP models.

MyCadbox is available free of charge for both non-commercial and business purposes. The free version includes sharing and viewing of up to 10 models at a time. A higher quota is available via a paid MyCadbox Pro subscription.
