Razorleaf Corporation introduces CLOVER CollectIT, a web-based file management application that enables non-specialists to securely extract, package and distribute an array of PLM file and data types. The company says CollectIT streamlines the process of creating a model-based engineering (MBE) workflow.
Razorleaf says CollectIT is based on CLOVER, the company’s proven communications hub for the exchange of product data management (PLM) data and processes. CLOVER is used by various companies to streamline PLM data exchange between systems, vendors and domains. Razorleaf says CollectIT is vendor neutral, allowing it to connect to major PLM platforms.
The new software offers the ability to select and share part data and BOM representations, 2D drawings, 3D models and other types of technical documentation. CollectIT extracts and consolidates files and data stored by PLM products, then exports as user-readable file packages that can be shared with employees, suppliers and clients.
Razorleaf has been serving product development teams as a PLM systems integrator and advisor since 2000. The company says it created CollectIT to help manufacturing companies eliminate the inefficiencies of traditional manual methods of extracting and distributing files and data.
“Non-PLM users can have access to the most current information internally and across the organization,” says Eric Doubell, Razorleaf CEO. “Some of our early studies showed the software can reduce the time spent compiling TDP [technical data package] outputs by days or weeks.”
Razorleaf says CollectIT can navigate through the full BOM hierarchy—including related items—to automate what are usually manual extraction processes to create bid packages, product specifications, end item data packages (EIDPs), and TDPs. CollectIT supports the MIL-STD-31000B data standard with a template.
Razorleaf CLOVER CollectIT is now available directly from the company.
