ENOVIA SmarTeam gained more than 2,000 new customers in the past year who use the flexible, scalable, and cost-effective PLM solution, announced Dassault Systemes (DS; Paris, France).

ENOVIA SmarTeam, which offers proven out-of-the-box solutions focused on product development processes that support design, engineering, and enterprise activities, lets customers solve business issues as well as offering rapid deployment, enhanced return on investment, and low total cost of ownership.

DS also formed an academic partnership with Convergence Education Foundation (CEF), a coalition of automotive and electronics industrialists and educators, whereby the teams participating in the CEF's 2008 Innovative Vehicle Design (IVD) competition have access to DS's solutions. Awards will be presented in numerous categories when all of the vehicles will be showcased at the Convergence 2008 Conference and Exhibition from October 20-22 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
