ETAS Inc. (Ann Arbor, MI) and Gamma Technologies, Inc. (GTI; Westmont, IL), entered into a cooperation agreement covering the support of GTI's GT-POWER engine simulation tool with ETAS'PT-LABCAR virtual ECU software testing system.

Effective immediately, customers who use GT-POWER for advanced engine simulation and engine control system model development can take advantage of PT-LABCAR's PC-based system for virtual open- and closed-loop embedded software testing.

PT-LABCAR is specifically designed for Powertrain applications, such as testing engine and transmission control electronic control units (ECUs). In open-loop testing scenarios, PT-LABCAR can validate control and diagnostic functions using simple models. In closed-loop or automated testing, PT-LABCAR is capable of regression tests for ECU software releases.

GT-POWER, engine simulation software used by engine manufacturers for prediction of torque, fuel consumption, intake and exhaust acoustics, and emissions formation, is part of the GT-SUITE virtual engine/powertrain/vehicle modeling platform developed by GTI.

ETAS manufactures software development and vehicle service diagnostics tools for the automotive, heavy-duty, and off-road industries.

Visit ETAS Inc. and/or Gamma Technologies, Inc. for further details.
