ETRAGE LLC has announced the release of Plot Service for Windchill (PSW) PDMLink 10, INTRALINK 10 and Creo. PSW is Etrage’s flagship product for automatic generation of viewables from PTC’s Creo drawings, assemblies and parts.

Etrage has extended the functionality of PSW to Windchill 10 and Creo in addition to the previous formats of Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire and other CAD system models controlled by the Windchill 10 Work Group Managers.

PSW has three modes of operation.   The first is to automatically monitor Windchill to process objects at a lifecycle or revision change or at check-in. The second is a batch mode where PSW will process all models identified in a text file list. The third is through an on-demand mode where a user can search for models and execute requests in Windchill for required drawings, parts or assemblies.

According to the company, PSW can be configured to automatically create the following 2D formats: PDF, HPGL, DWG, 2D STEP, DXF, TIFF, BMP, JPG, EPS, prints and and postscript for plots.   3D formats include: ProductView, JT, VRML, IGES, STEP, 3DVIA, ACIS, STL, and Shrink-Wrap, as well as exporting native CAD drawing, part and assembly formats.

PSW operates on Creo, Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, CATIA V5, NX, Inventor, AutoCAD and SolidWorks models, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VISIO files.
