Etrage LLC (Waltham, MA), the Engineering Automation Company, released Pro/ENGINEER model clean-up utilities (MCU) for Windchill migration.

When migrating to Windchill PDMLink or Windchill INTRALINK from Pro/INTRALINK 3.X certain issues need to be resolved — like removing metadata and model configuration to minimize problems.

The MCU is used to clean up, consolidate, and standardize Pro/ENGINEER parameters, layers, and family tables. Standardized Pro/ENGINEER parts, assemblies, and drawings help to ensure order and consistency with the model configuration and metadata as well as remove erroneous or unnecessary data prior to migrating to Windchill.

The Etrage MCU is used on Pro/ENGINEER models prior to being imported into Windchill PDMLink or Windchill INTRALINK. The tool eliminates issues of multiple parameter names or types and insures consolidation of these parameters to a consistent configuration for all models being imported to Windchill.

The MCU can add items to a layer, create a new layer, rename layers, and delete layers. It can also be configured to add parameters to a family table and verify that all instances of a family table can be regenerated.

The MCU can be run on single or multiple models and supports Pro/INTRALINK 3.X workspaces as well as local and network file systems.
