Exact Metrology, Inc. (Algonquin, IL) added four Leica Geosystems Laser Trackers to its lineup of portable metrology equipment. Exact Metrology purchased a Leica LTD840 with a Leica T-Probe, and three Leica LTD709 Laser Trackers to further expand their contract inspection and reverse engineering service capabilities.

Using the latest in portable measurement technology together with decades of combined experience, Exact’s application engineers can handle small to large parts larger than 30 meters, and long-range, large-format scanning for architecture, civil engineering, and surveying applications.

The LTD709 has a measurement range of 25m (82 ft.) when used with a reflector. When used with the Leica T-Probe II, hard-to-reach recesses and cavities can be measured with a lot of precision.

The Leica LTD840 Laser Tracker and Leica T-Probe has high data acquisition rates and long distance measurements. With a probing range of up to 15m and a measurement range of 40m, the most demanding wireless probing of large objects, parts, and assemblies is now possible.
