FISHER/UNITECH, a reseller of SolidWorks 3D design software, will now offer SolidWorks Plastics, a new product provided by Dassault Systemes.

SolidWorks Plastics provides easy-to-use injection molding simulation directly to the designers of plastic parts and injection molds. It simulates how melted plastic flows during the injection molding process to predict   manufacturing-related defects on parts and molds.

The release of SolidWorks Plastics is timely and will directly address the validation needs of the SolidWorks community involved in plastic part or mold engineering, said Tom Miller, director of sales at FISHER/UNITECH. SolidWorks continues to demonstrate a commitment to leveraging highly efficient 3D modeling with value added engineering tools our customers both need and enjoy.

The new products run fully embedded inside of SolidWorks, providing part designers and mold makers with familiar and intuitive workflows so they can quickly optimize their part and mold designs for manufacturability.
