A royalty-free collection of 127 seamless floor and wall textures hasbeen released by Spiral Graphics Inc. (Fort Collins, CO), developer ofgraphics tools. As well as standard JPEG previews, the collection isavailable in the Genetica procedural texture format, which includesembedded effect maps for use with bump and specular channels, amongothers, according to the company. Genetica, now in version 2.5, is thecompany's node-based seamless texture editor.

Genetica Viewer, a free texture rendering application, has also beenreleased along with the texture collection. Genetica Viewer, says thecompany in a press release, lets you freely make use of textures savedin Genetica's texture format. Genetica Viewer can render the texturesand corresponding effect maps at any resolution up to 3000 x 3000, saysthe company. Additionally, Genetica Viewer can make such adjustments toeach material as re-randomizing the texture, zooming the texture whilemaintaining seamless edges, and color modifications.
