GEOMATE Company (San Jose, CA) released GrafiCalc 2009 software that enables users to simulate and solve a range of design and engineering challenges while making informed decisions.

According to the company, GrafiCalc 2009 is an industry-first software application that seamlessly combines the disciplines of sketching, calculations, and optimization in a single application.

With GrafiCalc 2009 users can associate geometry, dimensions, and smart calculations in a single worksheet to capture the functional intents of an engineering challenge. Then as parameters are changed, the entire worksheet is updated automatically to deliver instantaneous decision-support information and optimal solutions.

Specifically GrafiCalc 2009 enables users to perform up-front what-if analysis and validation of design parameters; backsolve exact geometry to satisfy desired functions; create validated calculation knowledge base for reuse and sharing; leverage existing CAD and calculation tools; and reuse and share engineering expertise.

GrafiCalc 2009 is positioned to help engineers to boost productivity, reduce product development costs, leverage expertise, improve quality, and accelerate time to market. It has a Vista compatible Windows standard application that can be used on a minimal PC.

The price for commercial users is $299 perpetual license per user (educational price $95).
