U.S.-based GoEngineer has acquired Kansas-based 3D printing service provider Rapid PSI. GoEngineer specializes in technical solutions around SOLIDWORKS, Stratasys and CAMWorks. With the acquisition, the company aims to expand its expertise and range of services in 3D printing.

According to GoEngineer, Rapid PSI will open up a new dimension in its product portfolio. Together, the partners aim to offer comprehensive 3D printing services from design to finished component. Through certified processes according to AS9100 and ISO 9001, additive manufacturing will be made accessible to strictly regulated industries such as aerospace.

GoEngineer sees synergy potential in pooling the resources and networks of both companies. 3D printing specialist Rapid PSI promises solutions to enhance development processes.

According to GoEngineer, the acquisition underscores its commitment to providing engineering solutions to the manufacturing industry. It is intended to complement the company’s engineering capabilities.
