Graebert GmbH, a provider of CAD solutions, has released its ARES Commander 2015 package for Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. The new version includes features for licensing, model editing and ribbon customization.

Editing tools include PowerTrim, QuickModify, Dynamic Blocks editing, DiscardDuplicates and ExplodeBlockX. Improvements have also been made to the software's in-place text editing feature.

The new LicenseToGo feature enables the same user to work for a defined period of time on multiple machines — regardless of operating system.

Updated functions from the 2014 version include Layer and Entity Transparency, Layer Preview Tool, Layer and Grouping Filter, Quick Grouping and Ungrouping as well as updated interfaces for Windows and Mac.

The company has also released ARES Touch 2015 Beta, a CAD solution for Android. Files are synched via Dropbox or Google Drive and can be shared by USB.

"Through a combination of hard work and an acclaimed product line, Graebert has established itself as the second-largest and fastest-growing CAD community with millions of professionals using our solutions,” said Wilfried Graebert, founder and CEO of Graebert GmbH. “We provide unique features and unrivaled flexibility, while our historical competitor is pushing its customers into a subscription-only business model. More than a cost-effective alternative, Graebert has established ARES as a reference for innovation in the CAD market."
