HP has introduced its new line of PageWide XL printers. These systems, according to the company, offer the fastest large-format production printing available in color and black-and-white. They can produce monochrome and color prints in the same system and have speeds up to 60% faster than current LED printers.

The systems are suited for printing items such as CAD drawings, GIS maps and more. The PageWide XL portfolio includes:

  • The PageWide XL 8000, which offers high-end production and can produce up to 30 D-size prints per minute. It has six media rolls that can hold up to 3,900 feet for sustained productivity.
  • The PageWide XL 5000 Printer and Multi-function printer gives small-to medium-sized businesses mid-volume technical document production and the capability for automatic color switching.
  • The PageWide XL 4500 and 4000, suited for cost- and security-conscious work teams focused on productivity.
“Our large-format printing customers are continually exploring ways to improve productivity, streamline workflow and reduce costs,” said Stephen Nigro, senior vice president, Imaging and Printing, HP. “The HP PageWide XL Printers announced today deliver what our customers have been seeking for years and will revolutionize the production printing market, offering affordable, high-quality black-and-white and color output in a single device at the fastest speeds available.”
