IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) and 3Dconnexion announce the availability of an integration between software and hardware to streamline the CAD workflow and improve control and efficiency in the IntelliCAD framework.

The companies are building a direct integration between IntelliCAD’s software platform and 3Dconnexion’s CadMouse and SpaceMouse products.

The integration between IntelliCAD and 3Dconnexion provides end users with navigation, including QuickZoom functionality, extensive customization options, command access that switches dynamically with environments, radial menus, macros and more.

“We create intuitive software, but in the end, ease-of-use comes down to how users interact with their input devices," president of IntelliCAD Technology Consortium, David Lorenzo states "We have been working within the limitations of standard keyboards and mice for years, and our members are excited that 3Dconnexion is creating innovative input devices specifically for CAD users and 3D modeling. Our partnership with 3Dconnexion ensures a solid implementation for their current devices and the opportunity for us to innovate with them on future devices.”

This integration was developed by IntelliCAD in partnership with 3Dconnexion, using the freely available 3Dconnexion Software Development Kit (SDK). IntelliCAD will offer the integration as part of their standard build starting with the 2021 release of IntelliCAD version 10.1.
